Jonathan Poling

Jonathan graduated from Rutgers University, Cum Laude and with Departmental Honors in Criminal Justice. He also received an Academic Achievement Award from the ECC Psychology Department. Jonathan went on to earn his M.A. in Criminal Justice from Rutgers, Newark and graduated Summa Cum Laude, as an Academic Achievement Award recipient from the Graduate School of Criminal Justice. During his graduate studies, Jonathan was an intern at the Paterson Police Department which culminated in his graduate thesis titled, A Review of 21 Years of Domestic Violence Homicides in the City of Paterson.

Before attending law school, Jonathan was employed for an Environmental Consulting Firm. From there, Jonathan attended the #1 ranked environmental law program in the country at the Pace University School of Law as a merit based scholarship recipient and graduated Cum Laude, also earning an Advanced Certificate in Environmental Law.

During his academic law career, Jonathan was an Intern at both the New York Police Department, Legal Bureau, Civil Enforcement Unit and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. Jonathan also had the honor of working as a Law Clerk at the Passaic County Superior Court, Criminal Division, for both the Presiding Judge, the Honorable Marilyn C. Clark, P.J.Cr. and the Honorable Scott J. Bennion, J.S.C., where he actively assisted the court in trial preparation for some of the most serious criminal matters in Passaic County. During this time, Jonathan was also certified and acted as a Court Appointment Mediator for the Civil Division in both the Landlord/Tenant and Small Claims disputes.
Jonathan handles criminal law, family law, HOA matters, landlord/tenant cases, and civil defense.
