Ciro A. Spina
Ciro A. Spina, III, Esq., is a partner with the law firm of Tonacchio, Spina and Compitello.
Ciro graduated from Glen Ridge High School and attended Fairleigh Dickenson University in Madison, New Jersey, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics. Ciro then attended the Quinnipiac College School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate. While at Quinnipiac, Ciro focused on Criminal and Constitutional Law.
Prior to being admitted as an attorney, Ciro worked as a law clerk for a well-known firm in Bergen County and a Solo Practitioner, who is now a Judge in Superior Court. In 2002, Ciro began working as an associate for a criminal defense firm in Passaic County, where he primarily handled high profile criminal cases. He was also responsible for the representation of over 7,000 Fraternal Order of Police members. Ciro then moved to a law firm in Clifton in 2006. There he was responsible for representing all of the firm’s criminal and family law matters. In 2011, Ciro moved to another firm in Clifton to become the Managing Attorney for the firm’s North Jersey section. While at this firm, Ciro handled the firm’s criminal and family matters.
Ciro is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and US District Court. As an attorney, Ciro won several awards. In 2007, he received an award from FOP Lodge 106 Superior Officers Lodge for Benevolent Efforts and Stellar Work Ethic. In 2011, Ciro was named Person of the Year by FOP Lodge 30 Monmouth County. Lastly, in 2014, he was also named Person of the Year by the Garden State Law Enforcement Officers Association.
